Robert C. Hassman Jr. (“Rob Hassman”) has been practicing as a business attorney since 2007, specializing in corporate transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, real estate matters, transportation law, banking and lending matters and small/closely-held business representation. Rob assists large financial lending institutions by drafting loan documents, advising on lending compliance and closing deals. Rob also often assists clients with respect to selling, acquiring, and leasing real estate, as well as performing 1031 exchange transactions. Many local logistics companies in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area utilize Rob with respect to cargo claims, transportation contracts, and other transportation matters. There is almost no type of contract that Rob has not drafted or negotiated for clients, including employment agreements, consulting agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, services agreements and other contracts.
As a licensed title insurance agent, Rob assists clients in clearing title issues and obtaining title insurance in connection with closings. Most importantly, Rob’s practice involves serving as a counselor and sounding board for small businesses needing practical advice on their daily legal needs, similar to that of an in-house counsel for those that do not have the resources to support or the volume of legal needs to require hiring an in-house attorney. There is rarely a business transaction that Rob cannot navigate on behalf of a client, given his many years of business legal service.
Prior to founding Doyle & Hassman in 2016, Rob worked as an associate at the Cincinnati law firm of Cors & Bassett, LLC from 2007 through 2014, and was made partner in 2015. Rob left Cors & Bassett, LLC in 2015 and started a business law practice group at Fruend, Freeze & Arnold.
